The Minnesota Historical Society offers a 90-minute walking tour of St. Paul's famed Summit Avenue, named one of America's "Great Streets" in 2008. This excursion highlights the Gilded Age mansions that populate this elite neighborhood, while the friendly and knowledgeable guides share the stories of both the architects who built them and the families that resided within these imposing structures. My first time to the JJ Hill House and it was magnificent! The opulence was the perfect backdrop to the wondrous excellence of the Chamber musicians. An artistic wonder that I would recommend highly. My two companions had similar comments.Written on Apr 24 2012
It was also a lovely touch to provide complimentary refreshments to enjoy during the intermission.
Prior to arriving at the concert, we dined at Cheeky Monkey on Summit Avenue, also my first time there. The food was good and offered healthy choices.
