Before there was Paris, Lindsay or Britney, there was Madame! Created by the late, great Wayland Flowers, Madame's outrageous quips, one-liners and biting wit have made this puppet diva a cultural icon. It's Madame with an E is a hilarious romp through the life of a legendary lady -- er, puppet. There's something new, something borrowed and something very blue, so you'll want to leave the little ones at home.

Madame is back! Just as bawdy as ever, and even more so, since societal norms have "relaxed" a bit since she retired. Very funny, very entertaining, and updated material. For anyone who remembers her, this will be a great show. The fact that she was available for photographs after the show was a BIG hit.

I found the show to be very entertaining. I was a big fan of Waylan Flowers and Madame from years ago. Waylan was such a great performer. Rick Sky does a good job of bringing Madame to the audience. It was a wonderful show using some of Waylan's established material mixed with new comedy sketches. Loved how Rick brought in the slides of Madame with other famous people. Genious! Would love to see Rick generate an entire show of new material, but until that happens - Brava to Madame and Rick!

Quotes & Highlights

Description

Before there was Paris, Lindsay or Britney, there was Madame! The world’s most famous diva is back in all her glory with a new man on her arm, and the same biting wit that has made her a cultural icon. “Today, to become a celebrity you need a million dollar stylist and a pricey publicist. In my day, all you needed was a cheap pair of knee pads!”

With the help of her friend Crazy Mary, her fabulous gowns, and her new co-star Rick Skye, Madame tells her life story illustrated with outrageous photos from her personal album, video of some of her past performances, and songs both original and classic. Part Broadway musical, part autobiography, It’s Madame with an E promises “something new, something borrowed, and something oh-so-very blue. So leave the little ones at home, or I guess you could crack the window and leave them in the car.”
