Finally, he agrees to confront the diminutive yet ruthless Lord Farquaad and hopefully regain his privacy. Joined by a wise-cracking donkey, Shrek embarks on a life-changing adventure as an unlikely hero who fights a fearsome dragon and rescues the cursed Princess Fiona. He not only saves the day, but also discovers the value of friendship and realizes true love is more than skin deep. Theatre Coup d’Etat’s production of _Macbeth _will require an ensemble effort, built with a high level of energy and performances that will be physically demanding.
At the heart of the show will be a process known as Animal Work. The purpose of the animal work is to enhance the instincts and impulses of the actor by cultivating the primal side that we all have but few of us acknowledge. This will work in conjunction with our company mission: to provoke an emotional and analytical response in our audiences by showing the depth of the human condition through both classical and contemporary works.
After all Macbeth is a story about a human being, not a portrait of a psychopath.
