What happens when you hitch your star to a loose cannon? Well, in the case of The Doyle & Debbie Show, hilarity ensues. Doyle Mayfield is a washed-up country star desperate to make a comeback after 30 years of certified has-been status. He's been through multiple wives and vocal collaborators -- each dubbed "Debbie" for the sake of the act -- and nothing's clicked. But when Doyle sees a single mother of three belting out a beautiful tune at a VFW hall he realizes he may have finally found the "Debbie" that could turn his life around. The Doyle & Debbie Show delivers big laughs and 16 original songs, including "Barefoot and Pregnant," "Blue Stretch Pants" and "When You're Screwin' Other Women (Think of Me)." Learn More

Each high and low that the actor took the audience through was believeable as you could feel the struggle or the humor. Unfortunately, the performance area for the audience was awful. There is a hugh pillar in the middle of the small room and the seating was not arranged in any manner to afford a view for the audience further back than 10 feet. The accoustics of the room were lacking too. Even though the many words of the actor were executed well, it took great effort to hear them as they bounced off the many walls and competed with the back door opening and closing as patrons and employees went in and out for a smoke.
