Victorian Ghost Stories at the James J. Hill House
Costumed actors Craig Johnson, Laura Salveson and Ann Daly present dramatic readings of 19th-century ghost stories in the dimly light parlor of the James J. Hill House. Former residence of the builder of the Great Northern Railway, the James J. Hill House is characterized by rugged stone, massive scale, fine detail, and ingenious mechanical systems. It's the perfect location for this evening of ghost stories, which includes works by Edgar Allan Poe, Edith Wharton and the Brothers Grimm, as well as lesser-known authors of the period, plus some "true" ghost stories. The presentation will be followed by a tour of the Hill House, and hot cider will be served.
