He joins rookie sensation Yasiel Puig, Dodgers veterans Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier, and more in the mighty Los Angeles lineup. Description

2012 will mark the 42nd year of competition for the Bank of the West Classic, making the event the longest running women-only tennis tournament in the world. The Bank of the West Classic is proud to be a part of the U.S. Open Series which begins after Wimbledon and concludes with the US Open.
The Bank of the West Classic is the first women's stop on the road to the U.S. Open. The U.S. Open Series continues to bring a number of enhancements to the sport, including more national TV hours, live finals and an unprecedented national marketing and publicity campaign, all helping to increase tennis participation and exposure.

Stanford University, in its magnificent setting, situated in the heart of Silicon Valley, has played host for the Bank of the West Classic since 1997. Bank of the West has held the title sponsorship of the event since 1992, making their relationship and commitment to tennis one of the strongest in the world. IMG is among only a handful of independent entities working on the campus and the only company that conducts an event for a consecutive 10 day period.
