We admittedly went in with a concern that the lead would be unsuccesfully trying to copy Jimmy Stewart. We were happily surprised in the actor's portrayal of George Bailey, along with the rest of the cast. While chunks of the story have been cut out to allow it to fit into the timeframe of a play, it was done very well. And the Stoneham Theater is a hidden gem - i look forward to seeing future shows there.

The play was good. Obviously it was cut down from the movie version, but since the movie is so well know, it did not effect the play. It was a fun holiday feel good play.

We took our 10 year old niece to the show. We explained beforehand the storyline and then watched her thoroughly enjoy it. We loved it as well- it was very well acted and the leads were fantastic. Would go again with my adult daughter. Great show

This is one of my favorite movies and I was very happy with this play. the person who played George could have been Jimmy Stewart he had to study this movie, every little detail. I brought my sister and she can be a bit too critical of everything and even she had a good time and said we should come here again to see something else.

I love the Stoneham Theater, and in fact this was my THIRD show I have seen there. I love the diversity of their programs, and I love the community feeling there. There may be a community feeling but the productions and sets are done very very professionally. I have never been disappointed there, and so I have put my money where my mouth is, and have donated generously to this 'best-kept' secret on the North Shore!

Play was only an hour and a half with a long intermission. I feel due to the shortness of the play, many details that could have been added were skipped.

I have been to the Stoneham Theater before but was reminded what a lovely place it is at this event! My husband and I took some friends to see this we all Loved it! What a great performance by all but especially the actot playing George Bailey - he was phenomenal!
Even though it was edited down for presentation purposes the essence of the story remains and it was thoroughly enjoyable! Get to the Stoneham Theater and see this to truly get you in the Holiday Mood!
