I took my 12 y/o chatterbox daughter and her friend. Their eyes were glued on those actors. The storyline was so interesting and intriguing. There was a scene where a gun goes off and i think i screamed the loudest of anyone there mostly because it was so unexpected! I would see this play 100 times!!! We TOTALLY loved it ;-)

Everything I've seen at the Stoneham has been fabulous - very inventive choreography, very good acting, great production values. There shouldn't be empty seats in this theater!

At first I wasn't sure about this--it was certainly quirky and sort of a caricature of small-town America, almost Americana (like a 1950s feeling to the characters). But it really grew on me and by the beginning of the second act I was laughing hysterically and tearful with the characters' intense emotions. The visual and sound effects were fantastic, as well as the choreography (singing, dancing piggy cadavers, anyone?). Overall, a fantastic experience--this really would not be out of place Off-Broadway. Thanks, Stoneham Theatre!
