Fun class, great food and darling location. Everyone divides into small groups and each group cooks a couple of the recipes, then tastes everything as a group at the end of class. We had a nice bunch of people in the class and lots of fun.

Knowing how to handle a knife is the single most important skill before heading to the stove — it’ll change your life! Learn to slice and dice fruits and vegetables and how to use a sharp knife properly. It’s a skills that’s essential to good cooking. You’ll learn how to prepare your meals quicker by mastering knife basics such as mincing, dicing, slicing, shredding and more. You’ll also learn knife safety and handling techniques, as well as how to select and care for your knives.

What’s on the Menu:
A light meal will be served from the ingredients you cut during class.

September 19, 2014 at 7:00pm: Indian Flavors Cooking Class
Bring your sari and a dash of curry to create delicious Indian meals that will surely make your mouth water. In this class we open the door to just a few basics of Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors that we think will pique your interest to learn more. Whether you are a vegetarian or simply enjoy Indian flavors, this culinary class is the perfect way to learn how to prepare healthy and delicious Indian food.

  • Spicy Red Lentil Dahl
  • Vegetable Biryani Pilaf

September 21, 2014 at 11:00am: Quiches and Tarts Baking
In this class you will learn the following:
- types of crusts: shortcrust, pate brisee and pate sucree and phyllo (store bought)
- key steps to exceptional crusts
- Blind baking

What’s on the Menu:

  • Mouth-watering spinach, pepper and provolone quiche
  • Quiche Lorraine
  • Phyllo Tomato tart OR Roasted Red Pepper tarts
  • Perfect Lemon Tarts (Individual)
  • Strawberry Chocolate tarts

Must be 21 and over to taste wine or beer
For evening classes, you can also bring in your own bottle of wine or beer if you would like. There is no corkage fee.
