We booked the 9:00 p.m. seating for the "Jimmy Vivino Quartet & New Year's Eve Bash". Upon arrival we were informed that our table was in ANOTHER ROOM adjacent to the concert room and this was o.k. because the door would be left open and after...continued

Tom Ranier and his band were ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC!! Six of us attended...and were blown away by the high level of talent of these three men. We'll be looking for Tom to appear again in the future.

At 7pm New Years Eve show. [Jerry Vivino...from the "Tonite Show"]. Directly in front of stage. Fiancee and I greatly enjoyed show/dinner. Only problem--major problem getting cab. And it was only 8:45

With a diverse repertoire, including jazz, standards, R&B, country, rock and blues, Perkins has been seen on television in the U.S. and Canada, toured Japan in a large production show and won the KLAC Radio Fabulous Finds contest. Her renditions of “At Last” and “Moondance” always steal the show. She’s performed with world-class jazz musicians, opened for Acoustic Alchemy and is a regular at The Salt Lake City International Jazz Festival.

Entertainment Today called her voice “perfect for the material…left chills running down the spine. Brandes channels the sensibility of a smokey white tablecloth nightclub act into a smoke free post modern present.”

THE JONATHAN ROWDEN GROUP is a new instrumental quartet that smashes through traditional dichotomies between form and freedom. At the core of their ethos is a honed interplay between structured, original composition and free improvisation that is a tumultuous balance between fever pitched madness, tender spiritual softness, the absurd, and the profound. Their eclectic synthesis of styles and forms spans the emotional gamut from serene calmness to brutalizing intensity, and has quickly deemed them to be among Los Angeles’ most distinctive, cohesive, and original new voices. Their debut record “BECOMING” was released under the LA based boutique label Orenda Records on May 27th, 2014 and is receiving acclaim from listeners and critics alike.

August 8, 2014: Jay Leonhart and Josh Nelson
Bassist Jay became a very busy studio musician in New York City, visiting every musical genre from James Taylor to Ozzy Osbourne and Queen Latifah. Between 1975 and 1995 he was named The Most Valuable Bassist in the recording industry three times by the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences. He’s now recorded 15 solo albums. Josh Nelson, born and raised in Southern California, maintains an active and creative schedule as a jazz pianist, composer, teacher, and recording artist. At 35 years old, he’s already performed with some of the most respected names in jazz, including Natalie Cole and many more.

DENNIS TUFANO starring in “I REMEMBER DARIN” Dennis Tufano, the original voice of the 1960′s hit group The Buckinghams, brings his love of Bobby Darin’s legacy to the stage in “I Remember Darin”. Inspired by Darin’s music as a teen Dennis does an excellent job of encapsulating the singer/songwriter’s diverse career. Taking us on a historical journey from raucous rocker, to crooner of standards, singer of country, folk and the blues, and writer of protest songs, Dennis recaptures Dream Lover, Splish Splash, Beyond The Sea, If I Were A Carpenter, M-pack The Knife and much more!

VOASIS is an ensemble of eight singers performing contemporary vocal a cappella, jazz and pop under the direction of Deke Sharon (Pitch Perfect, Pitch Perfect 2, The Sing Off) and Greg Jasperse. A program of the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, the group’s members comprise some of the industry’s top performers, arrangers and producers.

August 12, 2014: Savor: Santana Tribute Band
Savor was formed to honor the 40-year career of latin-rock legend Carlos Santana — from the raw power of the self-titled album issued in 1969 to the recent spate of hits with current stars.that makes Santana’s music so well-loved.The diverse background of Savor’s rhythm section meshes perfectly when they play as a unit, which is why the complex interweaving of classic latin rhythms are so adroitly handled by this trio. Drummer Rob Canny’s solid-as-a-rock groove meshes perfectly with the percussion team of Lorenzo Martinez (Congas, Bongos) and Mikey Manglicmot (Congas, Timbales). Complementing the rhythm section is bassist Rick Thibodeau, whose soulful flavor rounds out the famous Santana groove, while vocalist Steven Elowe’s impressive range and power add fuel to the fire. Keyboardist David Jefferson captures the sound of each of the decades, from the bluesy organ style of Gregg Rolie to the later, jazzier flavor of Tom Coster and Chester Thompson. Guitarist Michael Caroff delivers every trademark Santana lick, as well as the gritty tone and singing sustain that make the songs so memorable. Together, Savor pays fitting tribute to the popular, timeless sound that makes Santana’s music so well-loved.

August 14, 2014: Andy Waddell Quintet
Andy Waddell was born and raised in the LA/Orange County area. As a youngster, he studied jazz with some of LA’s finest guitarists including Frank Potenza, Pat Kelly, Bruce Foreman, John Stowell, and Joe Diorio. Performing professionally since his teens, Andy has worked alongside countless jazz greats including Grammy award winner Maria Schneider, Peter Erskine, Jim McNeely, Bill Watrous, Kendall Kay, Wayne Bergeron, and Kim Richmond to name a few.

August 15, 2014: Rebecca Spencer – Fair Warning
Broadway performer and BackStage Bistro Award-winning recording artist Rebecca Spencer celebrates her Los Angeles concert debut. Unique arrangements that fuse both classical etudes as well as contemporary expressions of the art song, with the romantic American Songbook, Broadway, film and popular music, have become Rebecca’s signature. Working with her long-time collaborator, virtuoso pianist Philip Fortenberry, their musical symmetry has been hailed by critics across the country. The combination of these two artists was detailed in BackStage as “collaboration at its finest”. FAIR WARNING will take the audience on a journey that melds Rachmaninoff to Rodgers and Hammerstein, Copland to Marvin Hamlisch, Vangelis to Lloyd Webber, Hoagy Carmichael to Jerry Herman, Bobby Scott to Frank Wildhorn, and Chopin to Rodgers and Hart. The program will also include original material written for Ms. Spencer by Broadway conductor Keith Thompson, which debuted at the Las Vegas Composer’s Showcase.

Fuller has established himself as a world-class jazz pianist firmly rooted in the hard swinging traditions of mainstream jazz. From 2005 until 2013, Larry performed with the John Pizzarelli Quartet, touring throughout the United States, Europe, Japan and South America.

August 22 & 23, 2014: Pia Zadora — Reloaded
Golden Globe winner, Grammy nominee, ShoWest winner, accomplished singer, film and Broadway star all describe Pia Zadora.
