From Robert Goulet and Gene Kelly to Gordon MacRae and beyond, cabaret artist James Cichewicz pays musical tribute to the great leading men of the silver screen and New York stage. The Tony-winning Goulet shot to stardom in 1959, in what would become his signature song and show, "If Ever I Would Leave You," from Broadway's Camelot, which kicked off a more than 40-year career as a TV, stage and film actor and best-selling recording artist. MacRae was best known for his roles in the film versions of Oklahoma! and Carousel, and his hits "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing" and "Hair of Gold, Eyes of Blue." And of course, Gene Kelly was the dancing-singing-acting superstar who lit up the stage and screen in Pal Joey and Singin' in the Rain. Enjoy tunes from these entertainment giants in the intimate Club Plaza, overlooking the intracoastal. Learn More

The performance was excellent, but some technical problems marred the experience. At the start of the show, the sound was intermittent. Some of those problems occurred later as well. Also, the performer had to keep instructing the sound tech from the stage to get the right sound level. That process should have been perfected in rehearsals. Still, I liked the performance and recommend this show.
