Take a rockin' trip down memory lane with Sock Hops & Soda Shoppes, a high-energy musical revue by girl group the Wonderelles. The Wonderelles perform the golden oldies of the 1950s and 1960s in this production, filled with toe-tapping tunes, swinging choreography and colorful period costumes. From "My Boyfriend's Back" to "Johnny Angel" to "It's My Party," the Wonderelles cover the songs that burned up the radio back then and remain classics to this day. In her inaugural concert, Dana Zimbric and the strings of the California Chamber Orchestra are joined by Lindsay Deutsch, one of the hottest young violinists in America. Music of Mozart, Bach, and Dvorak.
A warm summer evening in our Golden Valley features Lindsay Deutsch, a rising star among violin soloists. In her California Chamber Orchestra debut, Ms. Deutsch brings her energetic, passionate playing to the stunningly beautiful Bach Concerto in A Minor. The program also features Mozart’s Divertimento # 136. And, as twilight falls into night, the orchestra’s exquisite strings explore the soaring melodies, lush harmonies, and atmospheric glow of Dvorak’s Serenade for Strings in E Major.
