When Israeli-born virtuoso jazz pianist Tamir Hendelman takes the stage, it becomes clear very quickly why someone as legendary as Barbra Streisand hand-picked him as the accompanist for her rare live appearances. He is incredibly talented and versatile on the keyboard. And he's not just a great sidekick, he's also a first-rate headliner, wowing audiences with his interpretations of pieces from multiple genres of music. Even if you're not a regular listener of jazz, Hendelman and his trio have a sound that's accessible for anyone. They have a great energy and take on everything from jazz favorites to blues, show tunes, classical and Hendelman's own compositions. Learn More

Great choice of compositions for the performance. A superb violinist captured the sublimity of the Vaughan Williams piece. The guest conductor gave a thoughtful introduction to Mendelssohn's symphony -- which is a beautiful one. Perfect venue too.
