The International Gem & Jewelry Show is a lot of fun to look around, but you need to carefully shop to find a real bargain. That said, there's a lot of stuff you probably won't find anyplace else, and tons of cheap ($0.50) "Pandora" like beads that are perfect for gift giving to little kids.Written on Nov 07 2011
I think the Baltimore Convention Center is a better, larger venue than the Timonium Fairgrounds, but if you want easy parking Timonium is your best bet.

If you are shopping for jewelry already made or make your own, this is a great place to shop. This year there were two buildings filled with deals. Take cash as a lot of vendors do not take charges but the venue has an ATM machine.Written on Jul 07 2008

i'm glad i got the discounted tickets, otherwise i would have felt i wasted money! this is a show for people who like BEADS.....tons and tons of them. There was some jewelry there, too....from plastic to diamonds, but most vendors had beads. The funniest part was that myself and the 2 girlfriends with whom i went all took home the same thing, and from the only non-jewelry vendor---sheet sets!!! 1K thread count for $30, that's a great deal! if you make your own jewelry or crafts with BEADS, this is a great event, there was a huge selection.Written on Jul 06 2009
