The lineup of comedians was great. Only Joseph Mencia was disappointing, but then again, he did keep repeating that he's not a comedian...

I do not watch Comedy Central (no cable). Saw Mencia on KTLS's morming news and was hooked. When he showed up in goldstar had to see him. Mencia, his warm-up performers and DJ were awesome. Show lasted much longer than expected. I rarely laugh out loud, but I did so that night. He and the other comedians did not focus on Mexican only humor, but targeted everyone regardless of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation. That's what helped make it a good performance - everyone was included. I think he's right, we need to laugh at ourselves more and notice how we as individuals contribute to the mix that is the United States.

Being a long time fan of Carlos Mencia, I was a quite disappointed with this particular show. To start the show started over half an hour late and included an intermission! I felt the intermission was only to have the fans purchase more alcohol and help the t-shirt sales. The show also included a segment where other comedians were profiled while the DJ mixed music to their acts. I paid to see Carlos, not be educated on the other individuals.
I hate to say this, but Carlos came across as a sell-out only interested in making money - with his $25 take a picture with me promotion. Congratulations to him on buying his mother a house - maybe that's why he needed the intermission to sell more t-shirts!

You've got to see Carlos\! He really made us special in LA, being his home town. Went half an hour over alloted time, and did some improv at the end, which was awesome.
Only two bad things I could say (and none of them about his performance, which was excellent). One, before Carlos got on stage, the DJ put together this video/music montage, which was cool (for the first 5 minute) and then old and then down right obnoxious. We paid to see a comedy show, not a DJ spin stuff. If we wanted cool spinning, we'd go to a club. As far as montages and spinning go, it was cool, but not what I paid for. Show started at 7:45, and Carlos went on stage at 9:45.
The other is that Carlos charges $25 for anyone to take a picture with him. Ouch! (but totally worth it :)).

The show was not what i thought it was going to be, Mencia was boring and way to political...the show was so boring that my guest and I ended leaving the show before it was over.I wouldn't spend my money on this show again.

The staff wasn't helpful at all when It came to finding my seat they pointed and said right there just read the seat number and sit. So I sat. We were fine until about 30 minutes into the show when we were kicked out of our seats.
We missed part of the show searching for the actual seats which. The seats were terrible. I might has well of watched it at home.
The even started at around 8:15-8:30 instead of 7:15.
Which wasn't good because the show went on until 11:00 pm. I hadn't ate dinner and I take a bus, I was expecting around 10:00 for the show to end. I was so wrong.
BUT the reason this doesn't get a 1 star is because carlos made it worth my while. He was freaking dee dee dee hilarious! The other comics were great as well. You probably won't even get this version of the show on cable when it comes out. If I had been able I'd have stayed behind to personally meet him and the other comics. Carlos was willing to stay as long as it took to meet everyone, however I had to take a bus and the buses for me stopped running at 1:30 am. So I had to run :(
This was worth my while. I just wish it was a bit more professional (the gibson).

It was a great show that we really enjoyed. There were various comedians but the last hour was all for Carlos Mencia, he was very funny. There was food at a good price for such an event and plenty to drink. I would really recommend this show.

Loved the show, he had several comics , before he went on. I do think there should be an age restriction, my 17.5 year old wanted to attend, but I advised not to..Good suggestion..age restrication at least 18..

I've always enjoyed the "Mind of Mencia", so my fiancee and I had to see him in person as soon as I saw the tickets on sale. I'm glad that we did. I thoroughly enjoyed not only his comedy, but the comedy of all of the other performers that night.
Carlos didn't make exceptions for race, gender, or disability, and I really appreciated that. America needs to grow up and realize that a joke is just a joke, and I think Carlos is doing a great job to get that message out there.
The only drawback is that for some reason after the show I suddenly wanted to buy gas for every Latina that I met! (If you went, you know what I'm talking about...)
Thanks for the tickets, and thanks to Carlos and group for one of the funnest nights I've had in a long time.

The show was great! He was really funny and honest. There were 5 other comedians who also performed and were also really funny. The show started late but it gave people time to get there and not miss a minute. Really worth it! great price, great enviroment. The alcoholic drinks were really expensive though. They had a nice selection but we ended up spending about $80 on 6 drinks! advise: drink before the show unless you have alot of mony to spend.

Carlos Mencia began visiting living rooms nationwide when his television series, Mind of Mencia, debuted on Comedy Central on July 6, 2005. Since its premiere, Mind of Mencia has relentlessly taken on topics such as ethnic stereotypes, race relations and immigration.

Mencia became known for his two solo HBO Specials, one of which received a CableACE Award nomination, and as host of the groundbreaking series, Funny Is Funny (Galavision). He was also a guest-host on back-to-back episodes of NBC's Later, and his first appearance on The Tonight Show received a standing ovation. His additional television credits include a recurring role opposite Tommy Davidson as Felix Boulevard in Hyperion Pictures' animated series, The Proud Family on the Disney Channel, as well as guest-starring roles on both The Shield and The Bernie Mac Show. In addition, he starred in his own original half-hour special for Comedy Central, Comedy Central Presents Carlos Mencia, and has been seen on such shows as CNBC's Dennis Miller, ABC's Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, HBO's Loco Slam, and Comic Relief VI.

On the big screen, Mencia's film credits include 29 Palms and Outta' Time, in which he co-starred with Mario Lopez. Mencia stars opposite Ben Stiller and Michelle Monaghan in The Heartbreak Kid, a DreamWorks film directed by Peter and Bobby Farrelly.

The Three Amigos, a tour Mencia headlined in 2001-2002, was so successful it sparked the interest of industry execs and prompted Miramax Films to fund the taping of three sold-out performances as well as behind-the-scenes footage. The DVD of this film was released by Disney. StudioWorks Entertainment released his first retail DVD, Carlos Mencia: Not for the Easily Offended Live in San Jose, in 2005. In the summer of 2006, Mencia completed The Punisher Tour, a sold-out headlining stand-up tour of over 60 cities. The tour sold more than 270,000 tickets, making it the biggest tour of any Latino comedian to date.

Carlos Mencia: No Strings Attached – Live, Extended and Uncensored was a stand-up special taped in front of a live audience at San Francisco’s Warfield Theater. The DVD, which features the original performance as seen on-air and an extended performance with 20 minutes of never-before-seen additional material, was released on October 10, 2006 and became the first stand-up DVD release from Comedy Central Home Entertainment to be certified platinum.
