I had great seats! Patti was rocking it even at 65 years of age AND wearing 3 inches heels! Ashford and Simpsons opened for her and they were rocking! TONS of energy !Written on May 16 2010

Ashford and Simpson were fantastic. Brilliant writers of such great music who can really sing AND perform! The band and sound were amazing and they were just the opening act for Patti LaBelle. Patty's a diva for sure, with all the stage presence and vocal ability one could hope for. She truly holds the audience in the palm of her hand as she takes us from tender quiet passages to soaring fiery arias. We felt like we spent a few hours with a friend we had known by the end of the evening. She gets better and better with age, and gives it all.
