Based on Ken Kesey's landmark novel -- later made into the iconic, Oscar-winning movie starring Jack Nicholson -- One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest follows Randle McMurphy, a small-time crook who fakes insanity to get out of a prison sentence. But instead of resting up at the state mental hospital, the rebellious yet charming McMurphy finds himself going toe-to-toe with the authoritarian Nurse Ratched as he attempts to stir up his fellow mental patients. The dynamics of live performance only heighten the tension between these two exquisitely drawn characters. Tough, touching and tragic, this American classic advocates poignantly for the dignity of every single person, no matter how "crazy" they might be. Learn More

Quotes & Highlights
“The play has the zip and zingy humor of classic television situation comedy and the absorbing narrative propulsion of a juicy soap opera. Fiercely funny and bitingly sad, this turbo-charged tragicomedy throws theatre instantaneously into high gear. Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer-Prize and Tony- Award-winning play, August: Osage County_, is one of the great new American dramas.” —The New York Times _
