Fans of Jesus Christ Superstar will enjoy The Grove Theatre's original musical production The Kingdom, a contemporary rock 'n' roll take on the Passion of Jesus Christ. Through dramatic storytelling, dynamic modern music, authentic costumes and realistic sets, this gritty retelling of the greatest story ever told brings to musical life the last week of Jesus of Nazareth. Although The Kingdom chronicles the story of Christ's trial and crucifixion, it's an ultimately uplifting tale that focuses on love, hope and human compassion. Learn More

I attended for the specific purpose to check out the Soundness of the Theology in the performance style. When I was able to hear the words of the singers and narrator which was about 80% of the time they were on point. I enjoy most styles of music and will listen to any style at least once; that being said The Band Rocked (duhh... it is a Rock Band-lol). As a previous Reviewer stated about the Band was a bit loud at times drowning out the words of the singers & narrator. I was able to follow (knowing the story very well) but I wonder if others not knowing would be able to follow. This is something that I confident will be worked out.
I am going to recommend "God Speed" to both Beliver & Non Believer.
