Hailed as "the best musical of this century" by Ben Brantley of The New York Times and "the funniest musical of all time" by Entertainment Weekly, The Book of Mormon won nine Tony Awards -- including Best Musical -- in its first year on Broadway. Now the national touring production is back at the Pantages for a second round of hilarity. Written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone along with Robert Lopez, the Tony-winning co-creator of Avenue Q, this musical comedy is a show that The Daily Show's Jon Stewart has called "a crowning achievement. So good it makes me angry." Learn More

I attended for the specific purpose to check out the Soundness of the Theology in the performance style. When I was able to hear the words of the singers and narrator which was about 80% of the time they were on point. I enjoy most styles of music and will listen to any style at least once; that being said The Band Rocked (duhh... it is a Rock Band-lol). As a previous Reviewer stated about the Band was a bit loud at times drowning out the words of the singers & narrator. I was able to follow (knowing the story very well) but I wonder if others not knowing would be able to follow. This is something that I confident will be worked out.
I am going to recommend "God Speed" to both Beliver & Non Believer.

The Grove Theatre is proud to announce the world premiere of Godspeed, an original play by Sammy Oriti. Godspeed is a high-end Hybrid, theatrical/concert event accurately based on the life of Jesus. It is a contemporary rock opera composed lyrically from scripture, and does not deviate from the text. Godspeed features a live band, and stars John Bisaha, a singer/songwriter who has performed throughout Japan, Korea, France, the Philippines and across the US. John worked alongside, and opened up for such artists as Heart, Cheap Trick, Robin Trower, Blue Oyster Cult and several other notable acts. He also recorded several albums with Disney, most notably the D2 soundtrack.
