Hailed as "the best musical of this century" by Ben Brantley of The New York Times and "the funniest musical of all time" by Entertainment Weekly, The Book of Mormon won nine Tony Awards -- including Best Musical -- in its first year on Broadway. Now the national touring production is back at the Pantages for a second round of hilarity. Written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone along with Robert Lopez, the Tony-winning co-creator of Avenue Q, this musical comedy is a show that The Daily Show's Jon Stewart has called "a crowning achievement. So good it makes me angry." Learn More

Overall the cast was good. The actress who plays the mother flubbed her lines several times. Many of the actresses have beautiful voices. The lighting was adequate, but not exceptional. The technical quality of the microphones was in need an an expert...squeaks, rustling, and squeals were heard and sometimes nothing was being projected because the microphones were turned off. The 3-piece band did a nice job.

Quilters is a musical about the lives of seven American pioneer woman. It focuses on Sarah and her six daughters and how they face the challenges of frontier life. Rather than a straightforward storyline, the musical is presented as a series of short tales matched with musical numbers, each portraying an aspect of frontier family life. Grove favorite Ann Thomas is featured as Sarah.
