This was a really bad production. The sound quality went in and out all night including the mic's on the individual actors not to mention some earsplitting feedback through the speakers. The sets were so terrible it was hard to tell when it was a change in location. Between the bad sets and sound quality it was difficult to understand what was going on half of the time. Hopefully, for future audiences these glitches can be worked out as the show goes on. But, opening night was not a good time.
Quotes & Highlights
The Grove announces the opening of Rent. The Grove Theatre is the first theatre in the Inland Empire to present this Tony and Pulitzer Prize Award winning Broadway phenomenon.
Rent has such a strong and poignant message to bring to our world today. It is about a group of 20 to 30 year old bohemians trying to live in New York’s East Village. They are all dealing with life crises like AIDS, drugs, death, and challenges that come with being young. The music is touching and the extremely talented cast makes each character come alive.
