Shakespeare meets steampunk as Magenta Theater Company sets Romeo & Juliet in a world inspired by Victorian technology. Gears grind and stars cross in this classic tragedy of two young lovers separated by a bitter feud between their families. When an intricate plan to unite the two goes disastrously awry, the results are as memorable as they are deeply moving. Extravagantly ornamented but precisely engineered, Shakespeare's language is the perfect complement to steampunk's richly visual style in this adaptation from director David Roberts. Learn More

Very funny. Took my grandchildren. At first I thought it might be too dry, but there was plenty of slapstick that kept the adults laughing along with the kids. Money well spent! Parking on the weekends are a problem but I understand that there's a free parking structure to the south east of the theatre.
Quotes & Highlights
“Jolly good show, I say! The audience was kept roaring with laughter throughout.” —SW WA Stage & Theater Arts Review
The five actors in the show have their hands full as they create 39 characters racing across 26 locations to recreate the classic Jules Verne story. Around the World in 80 Days proves that some things are worth going around the world for.
