Venue Description

The stunning new Music Center at Strathmore is an ideal location for concerts, corporate meetings, product launches, television broadcasts, black-tie galas, fundraising events, and private parties. The building takes its cues from the rolling hills and park-like setting with a softly undulating roof that appears to merge into the steep hills of the Strathmore property.

With its soaring glass walls and windows throughout, beautiful natural light fills interior spaces of the Music Center, and the accents of natural wood make the spaces warm and inviting. A six-story glass wall in the Lockheed Martin Lobby overlooks an 11-acre site of greenery.

From 495 W:
Take exit 34 towards Rockville Pike and continue North across Grosvenor Lane. Take either the first or second Tuckerman Lane on your right and follow it around to the Music Center circular drop-off or Metro garage.

From 495 E:
Take exit 34 towards Rockville Pike. You will merge with Rockville Pike South. Take your next legal u-turn on to Rockville Pike North and follow 495 W directions. Alternately, Take exit 36 towards Old Georgetown Road. Turn left at the end of the ramp. Follow Old Georgetown Road across 270 and turn right on Tuckerman Lane. Once you cross Rockville Pike, follow Tuckerman to either the Music Center circular drop-off or the Metro garage.

Metro:
Grosvenor/Strathmore Metro Station is connected to the Music Center by a covered walkway (across Tuckerman Lane) and is serviced by all red line trains.

Parking:
The parking garage for the Grosvenor/Strathmore Metro station will also serve as the main parking facility for the Music Center and our students. Metro's system-wide rate for parking is $4.00 per use. Payment for parking will be accepted with Metro SmartTrip cards only. Cards cost a one-time fee of $5.00 and can be purchased at the station or here: www.wmata.com/riding/smartrip.cfm
