I was so happy to hear of this performance. However, I have to say I was disappointed. The actors that played the female lead, Tracy Lord, the little sister, Dinah, Mike (the Jimmy Stewart role in the film), Uncle Willy and the father Mr. Lord, were excellent. They invested quite a bit of energy into their repective roles which paid off admirably. In contrast, the rest of the cast were leaden and appeared unable to connect with their individual characterizations. Being a fan of the Philip Barry play, I was disappointed. Perhaps if the director could have explained the inherent humour and sarcasm of some of the lines to the actors they may have exhibited more emotion. In some cases it appeared they were reading their lines without grasping the humor. I am sorry to write such a negative review, but that was my impression.Written on Mar 05 2012

Good comedy, thanks Goldstar! The performance is witty, fast, and very well casted. The theatre is small, yet very comfortable. A must see, if you like humor. It has two acts and moves very fast. Don't miss it.Written on Feb 29 2012
