The sound was not synchronized with the film even after the theater tried to fix the problem. Poor selection of films.

7 short films from around the world meet a cineplex in the suburban enclave of downtown walnut creek - this labor of love was a breath of fresh air, and will hopefully inspire other arts groups to further establish cultural events in the eastern...continued

A+ event. Located at a local Movie theater. I wished that the would have offered the all day and/or all event movie segments for sale through Goldstar, instead of selling each segmen individually.

Come dressed to impress as the Red Carpet unveils at 6pm, theater seating starts at 6:30 with the terrific selection of Opening Night short films, covering a wide selection of genres including comedy, animation, drama, world cinema and more.

1pm: Spotlight on Drama

**Grab the popcorn and bring a friend for an incredible mix of dramatic films, these World Class films deliver the performances you’d expect from blockbuster features, packed in a short film and capable of connecting with you in special ways. Stories that will entertain and surprise you.

3pm: World Cinema (Block 1)

**One of our goals is to present World Class films to local audiences that would seldom get a chance to see high quality films from around the globe. These selections include stories that speak to the universal nature of storytelling, each with their own unique point of view. We are proud to present 3 World Cinema Blocks throughout the festival.

5pm: Make ’Em Laugh (Block 1)

**Our first comedy block promises to make you laugh and giggle with truly funny short films. This will be an incredible line-up of laugh out loud comedy, with another Block of comedy shorts (no repeats) coming your way on Sunday!

7pm: Northern California filmmaker Showcase

**Your chance to come meet the filmmakers, the actors and the crew responsible for these amazing films, produced right here in our own back yard.  Stay seated after the screening for a Question & Answer session, where you can find out what it really takes to make it happen on the silver screen.

9pm: World Cinema (Block 2)

**This is our second Block of International films which include stories that speak to the universal nature of storytelling, each with their own unique point of view, told in their original languages (with English subtitles).

11pm: Midnight Movies (Avant-Garde)

**Hard hitting and direct, these films might shock you, surprise you or make you squirm, but that is exactly what “Midnight Movies” are all about.  A multi-genre journey that will deliver something different, a special presentation of exceptional films.

**A great opportunity to catch some amazing short films crafted through traditional hand drawn and computer graphic animation techniques, includes award winning films.
