Featuring pieces from the chorus's past and present, this concert will thrill audiences with songs featuring themes of peace, voting rights, friendship, love, family, unionization, fighting against social restrictions, perseverance, humor — and so much more!

Established in 1978, the DC Metro area's only feminist chorus is proud to continue its commitment to social justice activism and advocacy through music.

About Bread & Roses Feminist Singers:

Founded in 1978 as the DC Area Feminist Chorus, Bread and Roses Feminist Singers is committed to activism and advocacy through music. Members recognize that improving as musicians and acting as trustees of the chorus are necessary to reach these goals. They are both voices raised in song and voices carrying our mission forward.

About Capitol Hill Arts Workshop:

The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop is a community-based not-for-profit organization founded in 1972 by Sally Crowell and other community members who were interested in sharing their artistic expertise with children and adults.

The Workshop facility provides a dance studio (which doubles as a recital hall), paint studio, black box theater, art gallery, complete ceramics/pottery studio, a photography darkroom (the only open darkroom in D.C.), private music instruction studios and business offices.
