Folk musician Peter Yarrow teams up with the Israeli-Palestinian Youth Music Project's Heartbeat, Farah Siraj, Humayun Khan and other acclaimed musicians for this concert promoting Middle East peace. Yarrow rose to fame as a singer and songwriter for the iconic '60s trio Peter, Paul and Mary, who were at the forefront of the Vietnam War protest movement and politically progressive causes. Heartbeat features Israeli and Palestinian youth musicians performing a cross-genre blend of hip-hop, reggae and traditional music. Siraj is a Jordanian musician who will showcase her talents with Bethany & Rufus, an American vocalist and cellist duo and Humayun Khan, a renowned Afghan vocalist and harmonium player. The 2.5-hour concert will also include a live video feed featuring singer-guitarist David Broza, rapper Muhammad Mughrabi and two choruses of young Jewish and Arab singers.
