More Details About This Event: Mysticism is not just for saints and sages. All of life is the mystic path, say the teachers at Mystery School, and we are all knowing or unknowing pilgrims. The class journeys through the history of points around the globe, and will take students deeper to explore how to transform the lives we are already living into a journey of awakening.
Each session will be intellectually rigorous and challenging. Students will study original texts and traditional mystical exercises and deepen their awareness about frontier science processes. Each session will have a unique set of readings and excercises. Each stand-alone session in the series is ideal for anyone who feels called to serious transformation and spiritual discovery. The aim of Mystery School is to get closer to the Truth, to enter a state of Knowing and to transform only awareness. Topics for the American and Aboriginal Shamanism Series include: Creation Myths, The Four Directions, The Medicine Wheel, Dreams, The Four Agreements, Vibration, Medicine Walks, Power Animals, The Prophecy of 2012 and the Teachings of Carlos Castaneda. The instructor, Barbara Bitondo, designs retreats to advance and accelerate individual transformation using a unique blend of Appreciative Inquiry, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Narrative Practice, Earth-Centered Spirituality and Frontier Science Processes. She grew up in Africa, South East Asia and Europe, has worked around the world and is multilingual. She brings to Mystery School her multicultural world view and years studying shamanic mysticism with Rose Khalsa and Frontier Science processes with Jean Houston. About Pythagoras' Daughter: Pythagoras' Daughter - A Mystery School, established by Barbara Bitondo de Arène, designs, develops and delivers educational events that advance individual transformation using a unique blend of Appreciative Inquiry, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Narrative Practice, Earth-Centered Spirituality and Frontier Science Processes. These techniques help to develop a life-giving relationship with the world, called by some a "make-over from the inside, out". About Woman's National Democratic Club: The Woman's National Democratic Club was founded in 1922 as the first organization for Democratic women in Washington, DC. Men were granted full voting membership in 1988.The historic clubhouse is also a museum with beautifully appointed rooms for meetings, receptions, weddings, and other private events. Located in a neighborhood of nineteenth-century and Beaux Arts mansions, the building is a unique transition between Victorian and Arts and Crafts architecture. In 1973 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. |
