This was at the Howard Theater. I'd been there once before and enjoyed the place, although the food and drinks are expensive (and $10 minimum). i had read many terrible reviews of the food and service (from valet to coat check to waitstaff), so was kind of girding my loins. We arrived 45 minutes early and got good seats at a table on the floor (you share tables for 6 with others). We only ordered drinks and had no problem whatsoever with the service. We had a $10 minimum as noted. Beers (including large drafts) are $8, but they add tax and tip, so one beer totals $10, so you don't HAVE to have two to meet your minimum(!) We came early and were able to find street parking. Metro is very close. I read bad news about the valet parking (understaffed) and coat check (understaffed). We kept our coats with us.
