Internationally sought-after singer Gidon Saks appears in recital with pianist Roger Vignoles at the Kennedy Center's Terrace Theater for Vocal Arts DC. They'll perform an engaging and wide-ranging program, from Handel and Shostakovich to Victorian parlor songs and blues from John Musto. Originally from Israel, bass-baritone Saks has appeared with companies throughout Europe, and may be best known for his role as Claggart in Billy Budd, which was awarded a 2010 Grammy for Best Opera Recording.
