It was a little confusing trying to find which boat we were supposed to go on because there are several tour companies at the same port. There is nobody there from DC cruises to direct you and the boats are not clearly marked with the name Harbour Belle or DC cruises. I think they contract out with these boats so the boats could have different names on them. We sort of winged it and asked the captain/tour guide when he pulled in from the tour before ours if this was the right boat and he said yes. That was really the only way to figure it out. Once we actually got on the boat, the tour itself was nice. Tour guide was great and spoke about the different sites. It was a pleasant ride an worth the cost. Perfect for taking out of town guests.

The cruise was great. We really enjoyed it.

The tour was a disappointment for several reasons:
1. The Harbor Belle was swapped for another boat that did not have a restroom available. My mom is 86yrs old and this was a hardship for her. It was also a hardship for me and placed stress on what I was hoping to be a fun-filled time.
2. We were not notified in advance or given an option to cancel for a refund.
3. The advertisement stated that the "The Harbour Belle was a sleek yacht with modern lines and decor." This is very misleading. I was told by an employee that the Harbor Belle was not refurbished and is old & run down. The boat we were on was old, and anything but sleek & modern.
3. I tried on 3 occasions to call directly about something and only a recording came on - I left a detailed message with a call-back request and it was never returned by the Harbor Belle Tour operators.
4. The tickets sell for $22.00 + a service fee per person. This is a complete rip off and maybe worth $10.00pp at the most.
5. We were all so disappointed and will never go on any of this company's tours again.
