While the grand structures of the nation's capital are stunning enough during the day, they're truly breathtaking at night. There's no better way to see these awe-inspiring sights than on a twilight cruise along the Potomac River. Marvel at the magnificent buildings as they light up the shoreline on this relaxing one-hour tour aboard the Harbor Belle, a comfortable sightseeing vessel from DC Cruises. Light narration and moonlight music enhance the experience as you watch the sights slide by from outdoor and indoor decks with panoramic views for soaking up the impressive vistas. This upscale cruise boat offers comfortable seating, heating/air-conditioning and bathrooms, as well as a full onboard cash bar. Learn More

Our first Goldstar disappointment. The organizers aren't organized - most participants were milling around the dock, trying to figure out what boat to go to, and who to check in with amongst all the other boats while the organizers sat back on a bench with a posterboard sign saying only "Professionals in the City". The boat left 15 minutes late, raced up and down the river, and then had to sit just off the dock for ten minutes waiting for docking space. Because of the crowded boat, we didn't try to get a drink or snack, but it took the next guy 15 minutes (over 1/3 of the trip) to get a drink. Several folks didn't realize it was a cash bar on board. If you're looking for a Potomac cruise, just walk up to the the sister ship (Nightingale II) and pay $13 for a less crowded experience.
The cruise boat is comfortable and well stocked with $3.00 margarita specials, fresh, savory pizza and a cash bar. Come prepared to delight in the view from the river, chat with old friends, and make some new professional friends! After the cruise, there will be an optional reception at a nearby venue, with food and beverages at your own expense.
