Actor Stacy Keach Talks With Michael Kahn in Classic Conversations
In celebration of the Shakespeare Theatre Company's 25th anniversary and Michael Kahn's 25 years as artistic director, the company is inviting some of the world's most renowned classical actors to talk about their craft and how the art of classical theater has contributed to their career. In a career spanning five decades, STC-affiliated artist Stacy Keach has taken on some of the most challenging Shakespearean roles. Keach played the title role in the STC's hit 2009 production of King Lear
and also appeared in the company's productions of Macbeth
and Richard III
. His recent turn on Broadway, in Other Desert Cities
with Stockard Channing and Judith Light, earned him an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination. He has won a Golden Globe for Best Actor, been nominated for Emmy and Tony Awards, and received the prestigious Millennium Recognition Award for his outstanding contribution to classical theater.

We ran into traffic on Friday night so didn't make our dinner reservation. Arrived at Hillcountry Barbeque just down the street about 45 minutes before showtime and had plenty of time to eat and make the show.
