We really had a great time but you need more than 2 hours to really read the material. I wasn't sure what was going on we were looking at the displays and a worker came by and told us we only had 40 minutes left. The museum is open until 9 and...continued

one of my daughter's has been talking about studying in the CSI field when she goes to college based on what she has seen on the TV show. My husband & I decided to take her to the musuem to the CSI Experience so she could get a better idea on what...continued

I took 3 kids aged 7 to 14. It was interesting. I wouldn't take a child less than 7 because some of the stuff is gruesome (including the mideaval display at the beginning). Lots of interesting '30s-'40s gangster era items and history. The...continued

I really enjoyed this museum. Took my time to read and enjoy the museum, so it took me up to 4 hours to do so - well worth it. I also did the CSI Adventure (only $5) which is a little booklet with puzzles to figure out throughout the museum. I...continued

I LOVED this museum! It flowed nicely from one exhibit to the next and I learned everything from types of punishment throughout the ages to facts about some of America's most infamous criminals. You can definitely devote an entire day to this...continued

Perfect outing for middle school boys on a hot summer day. Allow 4 hours to visit

I took two rising sixth grade boys to the museum. We allotted 3 hours for our visit. The boys enjoyed it tremendously. Exhibits in the museum are heavily...continued

This was a much larger museum than we expected. It covers crime and punishment from the medieval ages to current times. Lots of info and artifacts from famous crimes, victims and criminals. All of the interactive displays worked! The CSI...continued

The museum is very comprehensive - allow at least three hours to go through. You can leave and come back after lunch.

This museum was fantastic! Especially if you have any interest at all in the history of crime in America. It looks small from the outside but it's spread out into 3 levels. There is a lot to read so plan on staying for at least 2 1/2 hours. I...continued

Place was really cool. A little scary - ended up walking out sooner as i was a lone and the whole serial killer thing got to me, but...it's really well done. A lot of information.

This museum was great and had alot of information, we were there around 6pm and there was not many people so it was easy to look at the photos without being rush. we had no problem giving them the voucher for admission.
I found that the museum...continued

This could be a 5-star museum if they changed some of the lighting and made the signs describing the exhibits and/or made the print type larger. Between the low lighting and tiny print, it is very hard to read some of the descriptions.

Based on Goldstar's writeup of the CSI Experience, we thought this would be similar to the Spy Museum's operation spy where you go on an interactive hour long spy experience (that I would highly recommend). However, this CSI event is actually...continued

I bought the tickets thinking that the CSI experience/workshop was included but it was not, that was an additional $5. You do get to go through the CSI lab but the hands on with the expert part was additional which was a little disappointing. The...continued

There is a lot of reading--a few interactive activities, but with the crowds, it was difficult to appreciate. If you have the patience to read the details, the material is interesting, but again--tough with the crowds of people. Actual artifacts...continued

We had been here previously but hadn't had enough time to see the entire museum. We liked it so much we were determined to return and liked everything about it. If you're a true crime buff, you'll find those exhibits particularly fascinating. ...continued

It was a great experience. I learned alot of how "behind the scenes" of an investigation works. I attended a lab class and learned how they test/examine blood and DNA. Would definitely recommend it.

If you're coming in from out of town, I didn't think this was worthwhile. There are so many good museums in DC that are free and this one was kind of sloppy (typos on signs and unclear whether some items were originals or replicas) and kind of a...continued
