This semiannual modern dance concert features the choreography of GW faculty members Dana Tai Soon Burgess and Tiffany Haughn; guest artist, Juliette Mapp; and GW student choreographers Alexandra Goldberg, Carolyn Kamrath, Jadee Mitchell, and Megan Whittemore.
Juliette Mapp a visiting guest artist in the Department of Theatre and Dance for the 2006-2007 academic year. Mapp teaches modern technique influenced by her ten-year study of Alexander Technique. She studied technique and choreography with Viola Farber at Sarah Lawrence College. After graduating in 1993, Mapp moved to Seattle, Washington, where she danced with Pat Graney Dance Company, Staphanie Skura’s Crank Destroyers, and Swedish choreographer Orjan Andersson. In 1996 Mapp moved to New York and started dancing with John Jasperse. She also performs frequently with New York choreographer Vicky Shick.
