DC-based Debórah Bond hits the Howard with Navasha Daya, formerly of Fertile Ground, for a show featuring their signature mixes of soul, jazz and funk. Bond's latest album, Madam Palindrome
, spent three weeks at No. 1 on the U.K. soul chart, boosted by its popular single and video "You Are the One." As the lead singer, songwriter and co-founder of the famed band Fertile Ground, Navasha Daya has been an influential figure on the underground-indie soul movement for years, performing with greats like Chaka Khan, Roberta Flack and others. Her debut solo EP is titled Rebirthed Above Ground.
