Who knew donning masks would reveal a whole new side to Ebenezer Scrooge? Faction of Fools Theatre Company puts an entirely new face -- literally, with stylized masks -- on Charles Dickens' Victorian-era tale in A Commedia Christmas Carol. Helen Hayes Award nominee Matthew R. Wilson directs the performance in the style of Commedia dell'Arte, an Italian form of theater distinguished by masked character types. In A Commedia Christmas Carol, you'll meet the wise-cracking and miserly Pantalone Scrooge, Dottore Marley and a cast of ghosts, carolers and townsfolk who guide Scrooge on his journey through Christmases Past, Present and Future. After last year's debut wowed critics, the production returns to the stage, more magical than ever. Revel in the theatrical delight The Washington Post said " ... crackles and amuses with abandon."
