Mozart's infamous opera of illicit affairs and the abuse of power gets turned on its ear by the D.C. Public Opera, which transforms Don Giovanni into a present-day tale set in Washington, D.C. Held at the glamorous Mayflower Hotel, this innovative production retains the spirit and power of Mozart's music and message, while putting a new twist on the action. Sung in Italian with a full orchestra conducted by John Edward Niles, the inaugural production of D.C. Public Opera heralds a unique vision for the future of the genre. Learn More

Music was beautiful. Be aware: while the French embassy has plenty of parking, the parking facility was closed "for security reasons." There is very little parking in the area so it was a scramble, after being turned away, to find a parking space. Almost missed the start of the concert.
