Description
Scott Bakula, who starred in the 2006 production of Shenandoah at Ford's Theatre to great acclaim, will present an evening of songs spanning his career. From Broadway musicals to pop hits of his youth, Bakula and a 5 piece orchestra will have theatre lovers humming all the way home. Directed by Dennis Deal and accompanied on selected pieces by the Duke Ellington Jazz Choir, this evening will benefit the renovation and expansion campaign for Ford's Theatre.
Covering some of his favorite Broadway standards from West Side Story to today, Bakula will share his recollections and interpretations of a wide variety of music.
This special one night only event is made possible by general grants from Nortel and Exxon Mobil Corporation. Ford's Theatre Stages are Built by The Home Depot, a 2007-2008 season sponsor. In addition, Chevron is also a 2007-2008 season sponsor.
