Pirate Adventure Opera Il Corsaro
$40.00 - $60.00
$20.00 - $30.00*
Pirate battles, romance, adventure -- Il Corsaro has it all. Set in a Greek island in the early 1800s, this concert opera by Giuseppe Verdi (Rigoletto, La Traviata) follows the story of the pirate Corrado. He's torn between a life of freedom on the high seas and his true love Medora at home. This epic drama filled with passion, jealousy and despair is one of Verdi's lesser-known operas, so you have a rare chance to see its beautiful mix of grand music and intimate voices performed live. There are no sets, costumes or props to distract your focus -- only the majestic voices of performers Michael Fabiano, Tamara Wilson, Nicole Cabell and Sebastian Catana, and the powerful music of the orchestra.

The terrace seats in the Lisner Auditorium are horrible! I left early because the are so crowded on leg room. I'm 5'7" tall and my knees were jammed into the seat in front of my. It was worse than a 16 hour coach flight. Ppl were up and down because they were uncomfortable. It was hard to enjoy the show in such misery.Diego El Cigala info • Nov 19 2014 star this tip starred
