Famed art critic Bernard Berenson and art dealer Joseph Duveen are locked in a heated argument over the creator of a Renaissance painting in the D.C. premiere of the London hit, Simon Gray's The Old Masters. Duveen travels to Berenson's villa outside Florence, Italy, where Berenson is trying to ignore the approach of WWII, to persuade him to change his mind about who actually painted the piece so he can sell it to art collector Andrew Mellon, who'll only buy it if it's by the right artist. Duveen has sold many of the works now in the National Gallery, and he's not willing to let this lucrative sale slip away from him. Learn More
