Kurtis Blow and Experience Unlimited
Rap Pioneer Kurtis Blow With Go-Go Legends Experience Unlimited
One of early hip-hop's most legendary party jams, Kurtis Blow's 1983 smash "Party Time" has never before been performed live by Blow and the track's original backing band, D.C. go-go sensations Experience Unlimited (aka E.U.). That's all about to change as Blow and E.U. will share the stage at the historic Howard Theatre. Bona fide rap royalty, Harlem's own Blow was hip-hop's first mainstream star thanks to influential early singles like "The Breaks." In addition to their work on "Party Time," go-go pioneers E.U. helped put the D.C.-based genre on the map with 1988's "Da Butt." All-female band Be'la Dona will open this unforgettable show.

We went on a Sunday afternoon. I had not been in that part of DC on the weekend in a long time. There are a lot of places to eat on 14th and U Streets You can find 2 hour parking in the communities in the area. Lots of people were out that evening shopping and eating.
