Set during the rural economic slowdown of the 1970s, playwright Sam Shepard's universally acclaimed Buried Child resonates as strongly today as it did when it launched Shepard's career in 1978. A Pulitzer winner for drama, Buried Child makes for a fierce, forceful and unforgettable portrayal of the realities of the American Dream. The realistic masterpiece mixes comedy and drama, keen commentary and deep emotion in a squalid farm home occupied by a clan filled with suppressed violence, apparent unhappiness and dark secrets. Kenneth Kelleher directs this San Jose Stage Company production. Learn More

The musical exceeded my 15 year old daughter's expectations and my own. She is quite the LB fan!Our seats were very good. Row Q left of stage and we bought our tickets two days before the show. The peeformers were excellent. Everyone brought life to the stage. It was really cool to see the actors continue the show as the stage moved before your eyes into the next scene. The set was very vibrant and colorful and the costumes were beautiful. Legally Blonde: The Musical was a wonderful production.Written on Jan 08 2009

This was the second time I have seen this show, but my wife had never seen it, so I took her for New Year's eve. As I expected, she loved it as much as I did. She even cried at the end, no kidding! I asked her why and she said that the ending made her so happy. We had very good orchestra seats, and as usual, there was no hassle getting our tickets. The show was excellent. The audience was comprised of patrons of all ages. Everyone seemed to have a great time. The two dogs were real crowd pleasers too.Written on Jan 01 2009
