More Details About Life Force Yoga Workshop

    More Information

Learn the possibilities that yoga has to offer as a complementary therapy to assist in the management of anxiety and depression. Certified Life Force Yoga instructor Angela Cerkevich will help you understand, experience and release emotions--the most powerful attachments in the body.

The workshop will begin with a group asana practice to facilitate a “sattvic,” or expansive mental field. After asana, there will be a discussion on the physiology of yoga and why it is useful in affecting the mind-body complex. In this discussion, you will learn other yogic techniques that facilitate positive mental health, including manta (affirmations), pranayama, bhavana (visualization) and kriya (cleansing). Restorative relaxation will end the session.

"Life Force Yoga" was developed by yoga therapist Amy Weintraub. She is the author of Yoga for Depression and holds regular training for both yoga teachers and psychotherapists.
