After the Fall: Rarely Produced Classic by Arthur Miller from HumanArts Theater Company

Full Price:
$25.00
Our Price:
$12.50

Based on the playwright's life and considered one of Arthur Miller's most personal plays, After The Fall follows a man on his quest to make peace with his own history and with the tumultuous world around him. This experimental portrait of a man struggling with the choices he has made in his public and private life examines the personal, political and universal forces that collide when we "fall" from innocence. Following the death of his second wife, Quentin tries to move forward, but he must also relive childhood losses, failed marriages and the effects of the 1950s' Blacklist. This rarely produced classic is presented by the HumanArts Theater Company. Learn More

My mom and I went to see this production and absolutely loved it! We were both in tears at the end. Excellent! We wish we could have seen it sooner so we could tell our friends to go see it too.

This was a great show. The acting and singing were superb. The only drawback was that it was a 2 hour show without intermission, although it went so fast it wasn't a problem. Rows of seats are very close together, if you have long legs, be sure to sit on an aisle or in the front row.

Quotes & Highlights

  • "It’s the music that matters, and in this regard the Keegan is dead-on." --Washington Post
  • "The players really shine. Jourdan, in the title role, achieves the requisite alchemy to switch back and forth between the melancholy, charismatic Cervantes and the beautifully batty Knight of the Woeful Countenance." --Washington City Paper
