D.C.'s own acclaimed avant-garde performance company force/collision creates a dynamic blend of live action and video projection inspired by British gay rights activist and experimental filmmaker Derek Jarman. Written by Obie Award-winning playwright Caridad Svich and starring John Moletress, this new production explores Jarman's out-of-the-box life and work through the eyes of a young queer artist, and premieres on the 20th anniversary of Jarman's death from AIDS-related causes. A true visionary, Jarman was famed for his non-narrative films, including Tilda Swinton's film debut Caravaggio, along with The Last of England, The Tempest and Blue, as well as his music videos for artists like The Sex Pistols, The Smiths and Pet Shop Boys. This production is set to tour parts of the U.S. and the UK following this run. Learn More

Amazing jazz musicians put a fantastic spin on traditional Christmas tunes. The Atlas Theatre was good but the woman at the box office not so great - she didn't know what Goldstar is and said we didn't have tix. Missed about 15 mins of the concert thanks to her.
