Our young guide was on-time and was friendly and pleasant. However, I felt that the tour was interesting, very light in depth - not much more than I would have gotten by reading the signs and walking along myself. This tour had a lot of long walks in between monuments, and I felt that time would have been better spent with a running guide commentary rather than walking along in silence or having him chat privately to just one tour member. Also, I wondered a bit at the route, which included some retracing of steps - for example, we walked alongside the long Roosevelt monument and then had to backtrack to go through the monument - why not take us the other way around to avoid backtracking? Anyway, I learned some things and visited some monuments I would never have otherwise, so it was worthwhile but not great.

Did not enjoy this tour at all, you need to get somebody who actually knows the history of the tour instead of giving us what the tour's perception was, boringggggggggggggggg Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The tour was relaxing and enjoyable..not rushed, so the pace was leisurely, which would have been helpful to know beforehand. Also, it was inconvenient to end the tour away from where it started, which we did not realize ahead of time. Please emphasize this in your ads so that the planning can assist in getting back to transportation at the end of the tour.
Our guide was pleasant and rather new. She provided very general information that was helpful and I think that a more in-depth presentation will develop after she gains more expeience. Knowing a bit more about each monument, with a focus on the architecture and debates about the final form also would have been enjoyable.

I would recomment the tour.

Description

This is the classic Washington walk. You'll visit each of the city's famous memorials located along the National Mall's Tidal Basinl. There's something for everyone— neoclassical architecture, modern sculpture, haunting remembrances of war, historical insights, and even funny tales. Along the way, our guides set the scene for the Federal City's original plans to memorialize its national heroes and how they've evolved with time. As we approach each memorial, you'll hear its particular story and then have time to look around yourself. By dark we'll be strolling past renowned icons of democracy, watching the lights come up in America's capital city. Sites included on the walk are the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, George Mason Memorial, Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial plus views of the Washington Monument, U.S. Air Force Memorial.
