Once the sun sets over D.C., don't head home or back to your hotel. On this Washington Walks Memorials by Moonlight guided walking tour, you'll visit each of the city's famous memorials located along the National Mall's Reflecting Pool, concluding with a view of the U.S. Capitol from the Abraham Lincoln Memorial. You'll see neoclassical architecture, modern sculptures, haunting remembrances of war, historical sites and more. Along the way, your guide will share funny tales and interesting facts about how each of these national memorials came to be. As darkness descends, watch the lights come up in America's capital city and see the memorials from a whole different perspective. This walk along the Reflecting Pool visits Constitution Gardens, the National World War II Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial and Abraham Lincoln Memorial. Learn More

Although we had seen the monuments numerous times before, we learned a lot on this visit. The tour was brand new, which you could tell at times. All in all, I think this will be a very good tour, once the guide really gets the hang of it. I don't think it will ever be a 2-hour tour though. With all the tourists hanging around the monuments, it's just not possible to walk at a brisk pace, so make sure you save more than 2 hours. It would be useful for the guide to have a bright umbrella or something similar. She was not tall and we lost her in the big crowds at one point and only found her about 10 minutes later.
