Absolutely fantastic. The shows set was unique and exciting, allowing the audience to feel as though we were in the underground with the cast. The show was very close to the original script (book) and was truly exciting!

A well-executed play based on a classic novel. The acting is generally excellent; particularly the leads. The set, music, and movement of the actors around the set creates a uniquely immersive experience. I struggled to imagine how this story...continued

Fantastic actors, great costumes, and believe it or not, breathtaking special effects! Did not disappoint at all, captured the magic of Neil Gaiman's novel. Loved the 360 degree stage storytelling, got the audience immersed into London Below....continued

Phenomenally immersive and entertaining, Neverwhere truly and quite magically transports those of us from the "above" world, to London Below. The story is a classic Neil Gaiman tale, an adult fairy tale/hero quest of an ordinary man with a good...continued

Wonderful adaptation of Neil Gaiman's book, perhaps via the graphic novel I haven't read. It was a bit long, but the actors did a great job. The theater was a nice touch--having the actors running in between seating areas and all around us added...continued

An outstanding adaptation of the novel, this play made all the right cuts but kept the humor and message of Neverwhere intact. The staging (in the round, with action going on all around the audience) heightened the experience. Those who love the...continued

I read the book and was fascinated even though I'm not into fantasy. I could not imagine how a play could be made out of the story, but this production did it wonderfully. I was totally won over by the cast, the set and the staging. A must see,...continued

an excellent piece of theater; it did stretch a bit long; and most of the actors need to learn the different methods of projection in a theater-in-the-round; also a nice venue, in an interesting, and up-and-coming part of the city, with a variety...continued

We enjoyed the play very much! We'd never seen anything quite like it. Simple story, but very creative staging and costumes. Most of the quirky characters are very well acted. Only criticism is it's about 30 minutes too long. Editing out a few...continued

A fantasy or reality?
Neverwhere was a pleasure for the senses. Creative set design adaptable to many scenarios. Costumes that were a blend of "what we have seen" and what we imagined in our dreams. Choregraphed fight scenes that were at once real...continued

Because of the difficulty with parking, we had to leave early. The acting was good, but the play was too long at two hours and forty five minutes.

The play was absolutely phenomenal. The issue was, however, that the shows on the 16th-19th were actually "pay what you can" while Goldstar listed the price as $30 and their "deal" as $15. I definitely didn't mind paying what I did but feel that...continued

So much fun! I went to see this with no real idea about the story line or anything beyond the fact that the premise sounded interesting. I'm so glad I went! It's a very immersive experience where the stage is entire room, theatre seats and all....continued

Great costumes and scenery. Excellent use of the space and conveying being in underground London's Tube system. Some actors REALLY stood out. Typically Gaiman style of using characters from so many different genres (angels, ghosts, vampires,...continued

This was our first time to the Atlas theatre. The space was wonderful. The performance was absolutely stunning. It was a difficlut book to try to put on the stage, and the playwright, director, and actors did a great job with the story. I...continued

Good ensemble acting. Textured sound and costume design. Hard to see and hear everything because of how the show is staged -- you'll find yourself craning your neck to look at what's happening behind you, sometimes your view is obstructed by...continued

Fantastic rendering - in all dimensions. The surrounding stageworks, the atmosphere, lighting, music/sounds immersed us in the story and put us in touch with the characters. The outfitting and personalities were well-matched and only one...continued

I recently read the book and couldn't see how it would work as a play, but they did a terrific job - very clever staging, good acting. I highly recommend the show.

Recommended either seeing the TV miniseries or reading the novel (or both) before seeing the play to appreciate the show to the fullest.
