For over 90 years, Union Station has welcomed people to the most important city in the world. This magnificent building has even played host to 17 presidents and countless foreign dignitaries. However, what may be most impressive is the fact that Union Station's marble floors echo with the footsteps of more than 32 million people each year, making it the most visited site in all of Washington, D.C.
Led by an architectural photographer and instructor, this excursion begins by focusing on the magnificent architecture of Union Station and the nearby Thurgood Marshall Judiciary Building. The group will then climb Capitol Hill to photograph the Supreme Court and Library of Congress buildings. Time permitting, the group will go inside and photograph the magnificent interior of the the Great Hall of the Library of Congress. The tour will end by capturing the late afternoon sun as it falls on the west face and on the unique statuary in front of the U.S. Capitol building, on the Peace Monument and the Capitol Reflecting Pool.
