Poet and author Eavan Boland, who has published 10 volumes of poetry and directs the creative writing program at Stanford University, will read from her works at Folger Theatre as part of the O. B. Hardison Poetry Series. Lauded for her examination of womanhood and history, Boland's collections include Journey with Two Maps: Becoming a Woman Poet and Domestic Violence and the prose volume Object Lessons: The Life of the Woman. Her awards include the Lannan Award for Poetry and an American Ireland Fund Literary Award.
